Welcome Wild-Explore is a personalized adventure travel company specializing in small group trips to remote regions in Colombia and adjacent countries. Our multi-day, expedition-type journeys go off the beaten track, to places of natural beauty and cultural significance. These types of trips are normally beyond the reach of independent travelers as they require logistical support, planning and prior knowledge of the region. We are motivated primarily by our own passion for exploration and draw on years of experience organizing wilderness trips in different countries. Our itineraries are carefully planned but never lapse into a routine. We are all about discovery, self discovery and enjoyment.

Colombia Colombia is a country of immense natural beauty and diversity; home to a multi-cultural population. The country has coasts on both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans; the southern part of the country straddles the equator and drains into the Amazon River flowing on its southern tip. The Andes diverge into three distinct mountain ranges and independent massifs rise from the plains to the east and north. Climate zones range from tropical rainforests, over savannahs and deserts to snow capped mountains with two peaks over eighteen thousand feet. Colombia's biodiversity is among the richest of any country. It boasts the greatest number of bird species in the world and it ranks among the top for mammals, reptiles, insects and amphibians. The diversity extends to humans as well. Colombians are the descendants of various mixtures of indigenous peoples, African slaves European and Middle Eastern immigrants, all of whom contributed their own traditions to create a rich and vibrant culture. People in Colombia are friendly, outgoing, and ready to share with strangers.
